COMMERCIAL REPAINTS & REFURBISHMENTS
Bring Tired Business Premises Back Up to Standard
Walls get scuffed, paint fades and doorframes chip. In a busy workplace it happens a little each week, until the whole place looks tired. Your customers notice it, even if they never say so. Your staff live with it every day.
A commercial repaint brings your premises back up to standard without the cost of a full fit-out. We repaint offices, shops, strata common areas and other business sites across Croydon, Ringwood, Lilydale, Mooroolbark and Bayswater. Our owner, Babak, has 27 years in the trade and works on site for every job.
A refurbishment goes further than a straight repaint. It can mean filling cracks, patching dents and knocks, and prepping surfaces where the old paint has failed early. Because we handle painting and maintenance, those fix-ups don’t need a second contractor.
The biggest worry with commercial repaints in Melbourne is disruption. Most businesses can’t close for a week, and painters working around customers can get messy. So we plan the job around your trading hours, using after-hours, weekend or staged work where it suits your site.
Every job starts with a free, written quote. You’ll know what we’re painting, what we’re repairing and how we’ll work around your business before a brush comes out.
SOUND FAMILIAR?
Why Business Owners Put Off a Repaint
Most owners and managers delay a repaint for the same handful of reasons.
"We can't afford to close."
If we shut for a week, we lose a week of trade.
"Paint smell during work hours."
My team can't sit through meetings with fresh paint fumes all day.
"Painters in the customers' way."
I don't want people stepping around ladders and drop sheets to get to the counter.
"The last repaint didn't last."
The paint was flaking again within a year of the last job.
"No idea what's happening when."
I never know when the painters are turning up or which area they're doing next.
HOW WE HANDLE IT
A Repaint Planned Around Your Business
We treat your premises as a working site, not an empty room. We plan the job around when you trade, who’s in the building and which areas can’t close. Then we do the prep properly, so the new paint holds.
- Stay open while we paint. We work after hours, on weekends or in staged zones, so your doors stay open.
- Clear paths for your customers. Work areas are sectioned off, floors and fittings are covered, and we clean up at the end of every day.
- One person to talk to. Babak is on site for every job, so you're dealing with the person doing the work, not a salesperson.
- Less paint smell in work hours. Painting after close or over a weekend gives rooms time to air out before your team walks back in.
- Prep that makes the paint last. We clean, fill, sand and prime before any paint goes on, because that's where most early peeling starts.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
What a Commercial Repaint Covers
Within our commercial painting services, a repaint is for a site that’s already fitted out and trading. Some jobs are a like-for-like refresh in your current colours. Others are a full refurbishment, with repairs and a new colour scheme.
Scope of Work
- Interior walls and ceilings in offices, shops, reception areas, corridors and staff rooms.
- Doors, frames and skirtings that take the most knocks from daily traffic.
- Exterior walls, shopfronts and fascias, with Anti-Graffiti Coatings as an option for walls that keep getting tagged.
- Repairs before painting, including filling cracks, patching dents and sanding back paint that's flaking or peeling.
How it works
1
Site walk-through
Babak visits, checks every surface and asks about your trading hours and no-go areas.
2
Free written quote and schedule
You get a clear quote showing what we'll paint, what we'll repair and when each area gets done.
3
Protect and section off
We cover floors, furniture and fittings, and keep work zones away from customers and staff.
4
Prep and repairs
We clean, fill, patch, sand back failing paint and prime bare spots.
5
Paint in stages
We work after hours, on weekends or zone by zone, handing each area back before starting the next.
6
Clean up and final check
We clean up every day, then walk through the finished job with you.
Local considerations. Melbourne’s summer sun is harder on paint than many people expect. Shopfronts and street-facing walls cop the worst of it, so we pick exterior products built to handle strong UV. The weather here can also turn quickly, so we time exterior work around the forecast rather than rushing a coat on.
Why ABM
Why Businesses Choose ABM for a Repaint
What matters when your business has to keep running while the job gets done.
👤
27 years in the trade
Babak has 27 years of painting experience and holds a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating. You get a qualified painter leading the job, not a subcontracted crew.
🛡
Used to working around live sites
We’ve painted around operating childcare centres, schools and hospitals, including over long weekends and holiday shutdowns. That same planning carries straight across to your office or shop.
📍
Based in Croydon
We’re close to business strips in Ringwood, Lilydale and Bayswater. That makes staged work spread across several visits easy to run.
🔨
$10 million public liability cover
Our cover can be increased for larger sites. That’s useful when a landlord or body corporate asks to see insurance before work starts.
✓
Painting and maintenance under one contact
Cracks, dents and damaged surfaces get fixed by the same team that paints them. There’s no second trade to book or chase.
ON THE JOB
How We Treat Your Premises While We Work
Your premises are where your staff work and your customers walk in every day. We treat them that way, from the first drop sheet to the final walk-through.
Babak is on site for every job. If you’ve got a question about the schedule or want something changed, you can ask the person doing the work.
We protect what’s already there. Floors, furniture, stock and fittings get covered before we start, and we clean up at the end of every day. When your team walks back in, the space is ready to use.
The price you agree to is the price you pay. Your written quote sets out what we’re painting and repairing, so the cost is settled before work starts. If we find hidden damage behind flaking paint, we talk it through with you before doing any extra work.

IN THEIR WORDS
What Our Customers Say About Working With Us
Common Questions
Commercial Repaint Questions
Do I need to close my business for a commercial repaint?
Usually not. We can work after hours, on weekends or in staged zones, so parts of your site stay open while we paint others. We’ll plan the staging with you at the site visit.
How often should a commercial property in Melbourne be repainted?
It depends on foot traffic, sun exposure and how well the last job was prepped. Entries, corridors and customer areas usually show wear first, while quieter rooms last longer. Street-facing walls that cop full sun often fade sooner.
Should I touch up or do a full repaint?
Touch-ups suit small marks and chips on paint that’s otherwise in good shape. If the paint is peeling, fading unevenly or patched in lots of spots, a full repaint is usually the better fix. We’ll tell you honestly which one your site needs.
Will the paint smell bother my staff or customers?
We keep it to a minimum by painting after close or over a weekend. That gives rooms time to air out before people come back in. Let us know at the quote stage if any areas need extra care.
Can you fix damaged walls before you repaint?
Yes, repairs are part of the job. We fill cracks, patch dents and sand back failing paint before any new paint goes on. Painting over damage without fixing it just brings the same problems back.

Our Service Area
Commercial Repaints Across Croydon and the Outer East
We’re based in Croydon, so most business sites in the outer east are a short drive away. That matters for a repaint done in stages, where we might be back on site across several evenings or weekends. Being close also makes the first site walk-through easy to book.
